This nine hole course provides different tee boxes for each hole in order to create the feeling that you're playing twenty-seven different holes. Tee markers are only put out for competitions or outings. Otherwise, the local rule is that the winner of the previous hole gets to decide from where the next hole is played. This is a links-style course with narrow fairways bordered by a standard cut of rough and some trees that can affect your shots. The terrain is rolling, featuring many sand dunes that can affect your shots. The signature hole is #8, a 513-yard, par 5, requiring a tee shot over water. Caddies are mandatory.

9 hole paradise, Apr 11, 2006
reviewer: mjm from LaPorte, IN
If there's a better 9 hole golf course in the world I hope I can some day play it. I've not played Pine Valley but from the photos I've seen - the Dunes Club offers similar terrain with comparable shot values. Anyone privaleged enough to spend a day here will be afforded a day in golf paradise that will not be forgotten.

Golfable Golf Quote of the Day:
" If your opponent is playing several shots in vain attempts to extricate himself from a bunker, do not stand near him and audibly count his strokes. It would be justifiable homicide if he wound up his pitiable exhibition by applying his niblick to your head. -- Harry Vardon "
