This fairly flat course is easy to walk. Even though there are some trees lining the fairways that can alter your shots, they do afford generous landing areas. The signature hole is #17, a 158-yard, par 3, which requires a tee shot to an elevated green. Tee times are only reserved for the weekends.

"Good greens"
The corse isn't extreamly long, but can pose a challenge from the back tees, especially for the mid-long hitters. It is well manicured, and the greens have a smooth, consistant roll.

The fairways here are nice, the greens protect the course and make it extraordinarily challenging. It doesn't play long but you have to be a good iron player to shoot anywhere in the 70's.

There is nothing better to do on a warm summer evening than playing a few holes down on the POYCC golf course. The course is always kept in the best condition with improvements always being made where ever possible. The course is easy enough for the casual golfer, but has a variety of challenges that make it fun and competive. The best aspect of the course is the great atmosphere and senic views of classic New England in Long Island Sound. After playing with friends, returning to the club house is a great experience. The course is always alive and no matter what the circumstances it is always a good game of golf.
