Wonderfully put together course, Sep 14, 2009

The par threes are a very risk reward type of hole, the greens are true and the fairways are very well kept, long hitters wont always do well, usually leaving themselves with in between shots. Great family environment, one of the better courses in southeast iowa

Hilltop Country Club
"Neatest course in Texas"
I went and played a round of golf at the Hilltop Country Club last week for the first time. It was an expereince,the course is set up real cool. I was a high school golfer who would have loved to get out of school and walk to go play golf rather than riding 30 minutes on a bus to and from practice everyday. The course is on the grounds of Troup ISD.And after I got finished playing golf I walked to the 19th and had a cold budlight.The bar has what ever you want,and the ladies were so nice.

First course I played since getting into golf, played 11 times. Lots of hazards and had fun playing. Would still be there except 60 par can't help building my handycap. A little costly for a exec course and for a new golfer, for the same or less you can play full 72.

Links at City Park Golf Course, The
"Great for all ages"
Aside from this course being played regularly by Chandler Harper (PGA hall of famer), City Park has a great youth program practically year round. Also, the course is always in great shape and, although, it is a very short 9-hole course, it is very challenging.
