This course has wide-open fairways and was built on hilly terrain in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. The greens are average-sized and elevated. There is water that comes into play on two holes. The hole that will test your skill is #16, a 532-yard, par 5, which requires accurate shots up a very narrow fairway. Tee times are only reserved for weekends and holidays.

good little course, Apr 25, 2004

I gave this course 2 stars in comparison with the following other local courses: Patriot Hills and Dandridge three stars each, and River Islands with five stars. Lost Creek is a dandy little layout, and has been better maintained recently than it was years ago. Greens are in good shape. Main drawback on this course is that the fairways are very average. Cost here has always been very, very reasonable. It's a good little course.

Good for the money, Feb 21, 2004

This course can vary between 2-4 stars. When the course is adequately kept up...It can be a enjoyable time. Other times have left me frustrated at loosing balls in the fairways, and fair green conditions. As of late, it has been really nice. Nothing outstanding about this course...but it is usually a solid day of batting around a ball with the boys.

Riverside Country Club
"Nice Course tough lies"
When you play this course be prepared to have a hilly lie on most fairway shots, especially on the back nine. The undulation is remarkable and this course gives an average player a run for his/her money. Mid summer the greens can be unforgiving, but still playable with corect club selection. Altogether a course well manicured and the added bonus of having a complete opposite feeling when playing the front nine and the second nine.

Oak Park Country Club
"Oak Park Country Club"
This is a very nice course to play on. Not the most difficult course you will ever see, but it does have its moments. There is plenty of water and bunkers to keep any golfer busy. Also, the last four holes make the course very challegning. Holes 15 and 16 are the two of the longest par fives on the course. They are followed by the longest par 3 and the you finish of the round with the longest par 4 of the course. The scenery is definetly great, as is the atomosphere. Also, there is a state-of-the-art range and chipping green that could compete with any other clubs.

Rams Hill Country Club
"Rams Hill Course Outstanding"
This course plays extremely well. Not only is this a beautiful course in every sense of the word, it is set in a most unique place - completely surrounded by the Anza Borrego Desert State Park (nation's largest state park). Two of my favorite holes on the course are the 14th and 18th. Both Fairways provide a challenge with a view. All and all a very nice experience. The Country Club also provides excellent vacation rental opportunities during the golfing experience at www.ramshill.org So get yourself out to Rams Hill - you won't want to leave.
