This club has four different courses. The Little Course is a great beginner's course with some water coming into play, but no bunkers. The Championship Course is the longest of the four courses. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 7th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996. The fairways are tree lined, and the bunkers are large. There are plenty of water hazards and sand bunkers incorporated into the course design. The Wisner Course has narrow fairways that are lined with century old oak and beautiful cypress trees. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 9th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996. The greens are small, and water hazards are found throughout the entire course design. The Lakeside Course has some narrow and some wide open fairways. This course is less frustrating than the Wisner or Championship courses. Water hazards and sand bunkers only come into play from time to time. The PGA New Orleans Open was held here. The Little Course has a separate golf shop with a phone number of (504) 483-9390.

Unpleasant- Not Golfer Friendly, Aug 21, 2005
reviewer: Diana from New Orleans
I've now played on all 4 courses here and I'm saddened to share that Course management is simply not interested in building enthusiasm among the community. The course is poorly maintained, staff is not customer engaged nor interested in promoting a great golf experience to paying customers. All 4 courses have a policy prohibiting golfers from bringing beverages or coolers- an absolutely ridiculous policy in 95 degreee and higher temperatures. Golf Cart with Refreshments for the past 4 weeks came around as our foursome completed the 17th hole. The South Course was recently closed to concentrate on the remaining 3 as particiaption is so weak- have this team focus on the golf experience instead of the the treatment we are all getting from the policies and staff and this could really be a tremendous public course success story.

north course don't waste your time, Jun 08, 2005
reviewer: mike t. from new orleans
played there today 6/8/05. terrible shape. worst greens i've ever played on. but the worst part was the utter lack of etiquette. three groups were playing together and would not let anyone play through. the marshall did nothing. it might be cheap but it is not worth it.
