This is a well-maintained, eighteen hole course. It is an easy course that provides a good challenge for the beginning or intermediate golfer. Shot accuracy is still important since water hazards come into play on twelve holes. The greens are of medium in size and speed. The senior discount is only good Monday through Friday.

You don't have to bring a putter!, May 03, 2006

This course is great if all you want to do is calculate distances with a new set of clubs or driver, but don't come out here expecting it to be a stat demon, or a scoring machine. The layout has a lot of potential, until you get on the green, which look diseased and not very well mantained. They are a sand layered green design and the green spots are patchy at best. You'd be better off chipping a ball when your on the green rather than using your putter. With a lot of help in mantaining this course, and a little TLC, this could be one of the nicest courses in Louisiana, instead, they let it go and just collect the money for themselves. I'd play this course if there was absolutely nowhere else to play!

"Enjoyable Round"
It is an average length course, but enjoyable. The fescue around the bunkers gives the course a nice look. There are some intersting holes such as one with a 2 tiered green right in front to make for a tough second shot from only around 60 yards. Some water but overall its fun and if you have the chance to play there do so.

The corse isn't extreamly long, but can pose a challenge from the back tees, especially for the mid-long hitters. It is well manicured, and the greens have a smooth, consistant roll.

Valencia CC is a gorgeous layout and wonderful design that only gets better with maturity. This Robert Trent Jones course is a truly great test of golf. Demanding par fives and threes along with several of the finest par fours I've ever played make for a challenging and wonderful round. The 66,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with wonderful restaurant, grill room, snack bar, and great pro shop make this one of the most beautiful settings there is to play a round of golf. The practice facilities are absolutely great. This is one of the top 100 golf courses in the United States.
