This flat course has elevated tees, greens and mounds throughout the design. Water comes into play on twelve holes, and there's sixty-seven bunkers in the layout. The greens average 5,000 square feet and have medium speed. The signature hole is #16, a 545-yard, par 5, with a dogleg right fairway, an undulating green and water that must be carried on the first and third shots. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 5th "Best Place to Play" in the state and the best in New Orleans for 1997.

"Great Track, Hard yet rewarding"
Played this course over the last week, this track is one not to miss. Clasic Joe Lee Design, lots of bunkers and water. This is a thinking man's course. Don't be disappointed is this track play's longer then whats on the card. It does. Play this one and you'll be back again and again.

"Real Golf"
This is a true golf course. Accuracy and distance is at a premium. There are no easy holes and you cant "run it up" to any of the greens. It is also a fair course. The greens neef to be a little faster and the traps need more sand but the layout is as good as anywhere in town...public or private.

"for this area its a great yonug course"
if you have ever golfed in this area you relize that there are 2 types of courses. private corses which are nice but... private and then courses that are a bit run down. well cross creek is the exception it may be young(few trees still coming up) but its lots of fun and well maintained with a good staff and a great time for new or more seasend golfers alike

Forest Hills Golf Club
"A Historic Walk"
I find this course extremely enjoyable to play, not just because of the challenging holes, but because of the history as well. It's my favorite in Augusta (besides the National) and has just been newly renovated to make play even more difficult. Definately recommended.
