This is a "player friendly" course, which is designed specifically for the average player. It is a fairly short and wide-open course. There are water hazards on seventeen holes, but they do not drastically affect your game. The signature hole is #18, a 418-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up a slight dogleg right fairway with water running along the left side, then an approach shot over water to the green.

Not worth the money, Mar 11, 2004

Played five courses in the area in five days, many courses to choose. Went by website and hoped for the best. I was very pleased with four out of five (Metro West (Orlando), Cypress Head (Port Orange), Indigo Lakes (Daytona Beach), LPGA International Legends (Daytona Beach) and Turnbull Bay (New Smyrna Beach)). Tunrbull Bay is not in the same class as the rest, shack of a clubhouse, even a dead "green." Spend your money elsewhere and enjoy.

"Peaceful Day of Golf"
I found the course to be in excellent condition, challenging and peaceful. Our group played a round in under 4 hours and did not see another golfer the entire day. Very private.

"Good Starter Course"
For an inexpensive, well maintained course to play while you are learning the basics of golf, this course is the one to play on. No par 5's. The course has good water, and easy par 3's that are helpful when you feel the pressure of the group behind you when your beginning. For the price, the location in Fountain Valley's Mile Square Park is beautiful, and I've never felt that a person starting off in the sport would feel embarrassed to make a mistake at this course.
