This course's front nine is much more difficult than its back nine. If your game survives the narrow fairways on the front nine, then relax because the back nine fairways afford much wider landing areas. However, every single par 3 measures at least 198 yards in length or more. For example, the signature hole, #17, is a 198-yard, par 3. This particular hole requires a tee shot from off an elevated tee, over a lake and onto a peninsula green. Water hazards also come into play on seven holes.

Great Golf, Feb 26, 2004 |

| Per the description for Newnan Country Club, the front nine can be more difficult than the back. However, if playing from the tournament tees or Blacks, you will play every club in the bag. Only one of the Par 5 will offer a go at the green. Number 14 measures 620 from the tournament tees. Each hole design offers unique shot/play risk & rewards. Greens are always in great shape and several improvements have been made to improve course condition. A real pleasure to play once or everyday. |

Tough Layout, Jan 28, 2004 |

| Beautiful layout with a lot of elevation changes and fast, undulating greens. The course also winds through a lot of trees, mostly pines and oaks. First six holes are a real challenge. If you can survive these opening holes with a score that's just a few strokes over par, you may be able to recover by the end. The 15th hole is a monster from back tees, measuring almost 650 yards. Overall, bring every club in your bag. |
