| Hyde Park is a decent little course that has improved over the years. What was once a disheveled, rugged course is now a rather enjoyable play. The greens are large and fairly consistent and the fairways are open and forgiving. The back nine is an odd layout with 1 par five and 3 par 3's. It also has a short par 4 where big hitters can easily be putting for eagle. The write up on this course is incorrect, as the back side has water coming into play on 3 holes. One major downside is the surrounding area of the course which is a major eye sore and almost constantly in view. Number 9 is the best hole on the course as a reachable par 5 with a risky second shot. Overall, this is a nice, local course, which caters to bombers. Single digit handicappers will have a decent chance at shooting par or even better if they manage their shot selection properly. |
