One of the best public course I have ever played,it's right up there with such great courses as The Fort in Indianapolis and Fall Creek Falls GC in TN, but not over callanging. Stony Creek has one of my all time favorite holes, the 9th a 175 yard par three over water. This course if highly recommended.

The putting greens and fairways are always in good condition. Some of the tee boxes are rough from time to time, but overall an interesting layout. The front nine has some hills but mostly back/forth holes. The back nine has woods, water and some challenging holes. No beer or wine is allowed. One of the only drawbacks of the course!

Stony Creek is a fun, hilly course that has it's share of challenging holes. I play it two to three times a year. It's a good value.

This is one of the funnest courses that I have ever played. The open layout and scenic views made it a spectacular experience. The work crew and the people there are the greatest. With a work crew of only 5, the course is in fabulous shape and is comparable to some of the best. The fairways are in imaculate condition.

Tierra del Sol Golf Club
"Played Tierra del Sol many times"
Tierra del Sol is an excellent test of any golfers ability. Several holes present outstanding challenges with water, out-of-bounds, undulating terrain, and several difficult (blind) tee shots involved. The course becomes even harder when wind comes up as it often does in this Mojave Desert community. This is an outstanding course to play for the money. Only lack of conditioning excellence on some holes keeps this from rating higher.
