Palo Duro Creek Golf Course
2690 N Country Club DrNogales, AZ 85621
Phone: (520)761-4394Fax: (520)377-2718
This course extended to eighteen holes in 1998. The new nine is mixed in with the original holes and some older holes were eliminated. This part of the state doesn't get as hot in the summertime as Tucson or Phoenix, which are located an hour away and usually have temperatures that are about fifteen degrees hotter. This narrow course features Alamo, Palo Verde and Mesquite trees lining its fairways, but there is no cacti in the design. The fairways are hilly on some holes and flat on others, and two of the fairways are doglegs. The medium-sized greens are very undulating.

| To call this a goat ranch would be an insult to goats... There was actually a cow grazing on one fairway but that's not the unbelievable part! The fact she could actually find some grass worth eating on this barren, dusty, dirt patch was the amazing part! It looks like the layout might have been interesting, pre-apocalypse, but if you've even wondered what a golf course would look like after several years of neglect or an atomic bomb strike then play here. I give this atrocity negative 5 stars... even if the green fees were free it would be overpriced! |

| Why do I not recommend Palo Duro Creek? Joy is playing with your 83 years young father. Lightning lit the sky on the 6th. We returned to the Pro Shop. The attendant informed us there was no lightning. No refund or rain check. I spoke with the owner Ken. No lightning tracking software. The Pro was on the 6th hole as well, he could not have missed 8 bolts.Later the owner informed me and my Dad, their policy is no refund after 3 holes are completed. I play this course at least twice a week. I eat there, bring friends. The owner then told me he would sacrifice and charge us only for 9 holes. My friend Ken? Pathetic display of stupidity |
