This beautiful course was built on an island in the middle of Lake Wright. The greens are elevated and fast, while the fairways are fairly wide and flat. Water hazards come into play on seven holes, and an abundance of sand bunkers are strategically placed throughout the course. Tee times can only be reserved for the weekends. A limousine service is provided that will meet you at the Norfolk International Airport, which is located only five minutes from the course, and take you to the course.

| Lake Wright is an example of a municipal course done right. The layout offers something for all level of golfers with wide fairways and some beautiful dog legs. Greens are kept in good condition for a muni that sees alot of play. Staff is good but the city of Norfolk might consider putting some of their money in the club house which saw its better day pass about 15 years ago. |

| This municipal course is a pleasure to play. Condition is very good for a municipal with fast greens and well conditioned fairways. Staff is very good and friendly. Easy to get to just of interstate 64. |
