This course was built in a wooded area and features numerous grass bunkers and sand bunkers on every hole. Water hazards (two ponds) come into play on at least three holes. The greens are fast, and the fairways are narrow. The course concludes with consecutive par 5's. William S. Flynn redesigned this course in the 1930's.

| Plymouth Country Club is a difficult test of golf. It challengers a player's ability to make shots and keep the ball in the fairway. Heavily wooded areas on many holes can cause big numbers if you wander too far from the fairway. The front nine is where a player should try to get through around even par and then make some birdies on the back. The back nine consists of a number of risk reward holes and two very difficult holes in a row (15 and 16). Finish strong on the two par 5's (17 and 18) and you could have yourself a fine round of golf. |
