The course itself is a beautiful track, a 10 rating for sceneryh and course maintenance. It is carved out of the woods in the shadow of Whitehorse Ledge, a 1000'+ cliff. Hole #4 offers a breathtaking view from an elevated tee, it is a short par four which will temp you to go for it all, but beware as OB is to the rear of the green as well as right and left. The 5th hole is a par 5, also offering an amazing view from the tee. Mount Cranmore can be seen in the distance well beyond the green. OB looms right and left. This 9 hole course is greatly maintained by a personable grounds crew and Pro, but the homeowners are another story. This course is one of the growing number of public courses that were created for the sale of real estate. The homeowners take themselves seriously, offering a steely glare should you dare to hit an errant shot into their yard. My playing partner was actually yelled at by a homeowner off of the fifth hole! These homes were built in some cases, feet of of the fairway, making golfer/homeowner confrontations likely. Play at your own risk as they claim the golfer is liable for any damage to homes or property. 4 stars for the golfcourse only 0 for the atmosphere.

Marshallia Ranch Golf Course
"Marshallia Rocks"
This is one tough but, neat course. Carved out of the hills surrounding Vandenberg AFB, the layout is challenging and scenic. Play in the fall and winter for the best weather, because spring and summer can be very cool and windy. Each hole rewards a decent shot, but plucks out your heart if your shot runs errant. Ice plant gives a new meaning to the word, rough. Here's a putting tip, 90% of the putts break toward the high hills to the south, though you will swear it can't be. The course is usually in terrific condition and the Clubhouse very accomodating. Green fees, equipment and food are more than reasonable when compared to nearby courses. This is one gem all golfers must experience.

"What Pleasant Surprise!"
My husband and I found this wonderful little course by accident! Most holes are par 3 and Roundlake Golf is nestled in the pine trees about 15 minutes from Klamath Falls. The people who work in the pro-shop are wonderful!

Deer Lake Golf Course
"The New Management has made Deer Lake GREAT"
I've been a golfer for alomost 20 years now (in North East Ohio) and it always delights me to find a course like Deer Lake. This course changed management about 3 years ago and there have been MAJOR improvements. The fairways have a much more professional feel to them and the greens are now firm and entertaining. This course has come a long, long way in the last couple of years and the new management should be congradulated. Not only that but greens fees are the lowest that I've found in the area. When you go in ask Carlo, the owner, for some of his special chili.
