This championship course has water hazards coming into play on five holes and numerous sand bunkers spread throughout its design. The New Hampshire PGA Tournament was held here in 1994. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 6th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996, and the 7th "Best in State" course for 1995-96. Ralph Barton redesigned the original nine holes in the 1930's, before Phil Wogan designed the back nine, which opened in 1974.

Beautiful course!, Aug 30, 2005

Having played many courses around the country, I can attest to the fact that this course is one of the most scenic and beautiful. From the back tees of the 5th hole, the golfer will drive over the corner of a river. It should not come into play, but with a rocky embankment and a tight slot to hit through, this tee shot could get into your head before you go into your backswing. Word is that Babe Ruth played here while spending some of his summers in the area.

The dramatic first tee shot with a drop of over 100 feet, and hitting straight towards a rocky outcropping face of a mountain sets the stage for one of the best golf experiences in NH. Not to mention the train station right next door, and the pristine rocky river that snakes its way throughout the full 18 holes. Oh, and some of the best public golf conditions in New England. Other than that, it's a pretty awesome course. Any questions?

North Conway Country Club is one of the most beautiful courses i've ever golfed. The views are some of the most spectacular ever. The pro shop staff was very informative and helpful. I can't wait to play there again this summer.
