This short course was built on hilly terrain, but it has wide-open fairways. Reading the undulation in the greens is key to scoring well on this course. Water hazards come into play on two holes. This club was originally founded as Wollaston Country Club in 1895, and has been listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S. It was also named to "GOLF Magazine's" 1995 list of the "First 100 Clubs in America." Wayne Stiles (1920), William F. Mitchell (1956), and George and Tom Fazio (1976) have done redesigns on the course.

| This course is short, hilly, with great greens. Don't expect a US Open layout, but with wonderful turf conditions, it's a really fun course to play |

Fun Course, Jan 17, 2009 |

| This is a short compact course with much elevation change. I've played in a number of times and it's usually in very good condition for a muni. Because of the acreage, some holes are close together, so be aware. If your handicap is 20 or better, play the back tees as the course is only 5800. You can have fun here and really need a good short game. Very severly contoured greens! Great views of Boston and the beer is cold in the clubhouse. |
