Perfect for price, Sep 05, 2010 |

So..I've never played before other than Helmet Hill (sunset hill in CT)..first time with a group of people, first time playing 18 holes (9 twice, but the "back 9" is about 5-9 yards further shot) and first time on the course. Definitely a great course that offers some challenges. Fairways were great, greens a bit fast, but highly recommend this course. If your a beginner like me, this is a good course to hone your skills on. Bring extra balls because you will lose a couple. Expected to lose 10, only lost 3..will be back there soon! As I said..this was my first time ever playing a round of golf and shot a 120 counting penalties, can't wait to bring that down.

What a pleasant surprise. Played here for the first time today and the course was empty. Nice, reasonably priced, challenging 9 hole with good elevation changes and with many smallish greens that require tight, accurate shots. Course was well maintained overall and the people friendly. The blue and white tee locations give a different enough view and distance on some holes to keep the interest going if you play 18. Clubhouse food was good yet inexpensive. Will definitely play here again.

This is a great course if you're a beginner and are looking for something not crowded but fun to play. They have some good little holes as well as a couple of long ones. The people are really friendly. Also, the greens were in nice shape. For more experienced players it's a great way to work on your irons and short game. I went on a Saturday at 3pm and we didn't see one other group. It was great!

Some blind shots and some uninteresting holes, but the staff is very friendly and the price is reasonable. Pace of play can be slow on the weekends, but weekdays are a breeze and make this course very attractive for the area.
