This fairly narrow course has fairways that are lined by trees and houses, plus a thick cut of rough borders all the holes. Water hazards come into play on two holes. The course was built on hilly terrain, offering many excellent views of the Great Salt Lake. The large greens are undulating, fast, and several are double-tiered. Nearly all of the tee boxes and greens are elevated.

Get a cart! No really.. you will need one., Apr 15, 2005

This course is high up in the North Salt Lake mountains, and it shows! More elevation change than a roller coaster ride. The back 9 holes are: #10 is level with water on the left. #11-14 are all down hill some of which you cant even remotely see the green over the dropping elevation. #15-18 are all up hill making your long drive look like a 5 wood. The last 8 holes cut through residential areas so hitting houses is a definate possability (Be carefull.. I have been yelled at more than once). This is a great course and a 'must play' if you are visiting this area.

One of the toughest and most perfectly maintained courses I've seen. Always has the best greens in the state. Looooooong par fours, interesting par fives and great par threes. Friendly, non-pretentious membership.

Great greens and thats just the start. From tee to green this course was in super shape. You must remember this is the dead of winter and the course was 5 star. The staff was very nice and told us to have a great time, most places just take your money and show you were the carts are. This is also a great course to walk.

Highlands Country Club
"Great Mountain Course"
Although you must golf with a member, Highlands offers a wide variety of challenges. Varying lies, fast greens, and narrow fairways makes Highlands a highly likeable course. A recent resodding of the fairways to Kentucky bluegrass has made this already aesthetic course even more beautiful.
