I am a pretty Avg. Golfer, Have played many course and very much enjoy this course. Fair course good for players of all levels also have three 9's allow the course to move along at pace....I can take just about anything but a 5 hour round and having three 9's is GREAT!!!!

Fun in the Tonawandas, Sep 18, 2009

A nice course to play for the beginner to the advanced player. The staff is very accomidating, and friendly. the course rangers aren't overbearing and pushy. I would take out of town friends there as easily as I would take my teenage son. Overall, A lovely place to play.

Deerwood is a decent local course with some very challenging holes. The new nine is short and presents less of a challenge, but the old course is one of the better public layouts in the area. The Buck 9 and Doe 9 (old course) require accurate drives and there are some high risk / high reward opportunities. This course is especially serene in the fall and provides the casual golfer and nice alternative to pricier courses.

Gotta golf here, May 09, 2004
reviewer: Jordan from North Tonawanda, NY
Deerwood Golf Course is one of the nicest public courses in the area. Offering 27 holes to play. The newest 9 holes are a very tricky, with water on almost every hole. Making ball placement crucial to a good round. I would have to say that Deerwood Golf Course is one of my favorite local, public courses.
