This course, which added nine new holes in 1997, features tree-lined fairways that afford generous landing areas. The signature hole is #6, a 135-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot to a peninsula green with a sand bunker protecting its front right. In addition, water hazards (ponds and a brook) come into play on eight holes. The greens are undulating and protected by grass and sand bunkers. The fairways were built on rolling terrain, so expect some uneven lies. Walking the course is permitted on weekdays on the front nine only.

If your looking for a nice course with open fairways this is the place. Not crowded which makes it even better. Enjoy golf the way it should be relaxing and a beer.

the course is great for a begining golfer. Many holes are drivable or your can drive to within a 100 yards. Not really challenging for the experienced golfer

Mountain Valley Golf Course - Maple/Oak Course
"hidden gem"
Course was originally 18 but 9 new holes were added in the last few years. The three nines, oak, pine, and maple are all challenging with tight tree lined fairways with generous sized greens with a fair bit of undulation. Huge elevation changes on some holes offer great views of the surrounding PA countryside. Although not the longest course, although some holes are quite long it is easily the most difficult in the region due to the tightness and difficult putting greens. The greens are always in great condition so the difficulty I have with putting is assuredly not the course, It's all mine. Great value too, and a friendly and helpful staff makes these three nine hole courses a must when in the area.

"good course for using all your clubs"
The front nine is narrow and short. A good drive and a short iron to the green and you will score well. The back nine is a completely different course than the front. Long open fairways for the long hitter and you will need your long irons or fairway woods to get you to the green.

"Nice course but difficult to get on........"
This is a great course, provided you can get on it. Always packed, best course in the area by far....I played here once and I am a resident, that shows you how hard it is to get a tee time here, used to be they only wanted non-residents because they pay more to play, (residents get a great discounted rate)...bad management idea there, of course residents complained and alot has changed....if you get the chance to play here by all means do it...you wont regret it...

"no good"
Me and a friend played this course yesterday... the 1st hole is a temporary parking lot and it is replaced by the driving range area which has been converted into a boring first hole. the course is poorly maintained and mostly boring. it is full of longer par 3's considering it is an executive course. if it was cheaper it would be worth it possibly if it was under 10 dollars a round.
