Nice course, but the fairways do not drain well, Sep 29, 2004 |

| Salem Hills is a nice course, relatively flat with wide fairways and good greens. For me (a high handicapper), it plays harder than it is rated. It also retains water on the fairways, so should be avoided after heavy rains. |

TRADITIONAL LAYOUT STILL SATISFIES, May 04, 2004 |

| SALEM HILLS IS STILL A NICE TRACK. PLENTY OF SAND AND THE LARGE GREENS ARE STILL QUICK AND A TOUGH READ ON A DRY DAY. MANY MATURE TREES AND SHRUBS CAN COME INTO PLAY. SALEM WAS A PREMIER VENUE IN THE 60'S AND 70'S AND REMAINS A TEST TODAY. DECENT DRIVING RANGE. A BIT PRICEY ON WEEKENDS. MY BEST BET WAS TWILIGHT DURING THE WEEK. |
