This course was built on fairly flat terrain. The greens are medium-sized, and water hazards come into play on several holes. The wind is a constant factor on this course, so proper club selection is a large part of the game. Tee times are only reserved for ladies.

Come here to break 80, Aug 09, 2007
reviewer: Bob from Sharon MA
If you are a 14-18 handicap looking for a place to break 80 this is it. There's a range so you can loosen up then go out and lay some good swings on the ball and fight for birdies.

Good for beginners, Jun 28, 2007
reviewer: Chico from Hyde Park, MA
The staff is friendly, polite, which is always a plus. The greens fees are some of the lowest around. The course is flat, and a good place to practice. Dont play there if it has rained heavily that week, you'll find lots of mud puddles. When dry, it a nice walking course, very flat, and short holes, not many par 5s. The course is in the landing path of a small regional airport. So lots of airplanes flying overhead, which some might find distracting, but I found it amusing.

Messy greens....., Jun 28, 2007
reviewer: John from Dedham, MA
Its a beginner's course. But I only have one real complaint, messy greens! Lots of leaves, sticks, etc on the greens. All it would take is one person with a powerful leaf blower to go on the greens and blow away all the mess. How can someone putt when the green is littered with debris! Clean the greens! Other than that, all good. Staff is nice, prices are good.

Hole 2, Mar 29, 2007
reviewer: Bob the Builder from Westhood, MA
This course is the best. Smells like dump, looks like dump, but I'd rather play there then watch the Bruin's. The second hole is the best par 4 known to man. Stay classy

good for the money, Aug 06, 2006
reviewer: Eric Chavez from norfolk MA
Norwood is a course on the easy side. Quite flat without lots of bunkers or other hazards. It is affordable for the average golfer and does have some memorable holes. Play Norwood CC when it isn't wet out as the course was built on a swamp. It can be a big confidence boost at the start of your year or used as a tune-up before a major outing.

Good place to tune up, Jun 30, 2004
reviewer: Pete from Norwood
Norwood CC is VERY flat (it's a filled in swamp), only a couple of doglegs, and not very long (par 3's are all 150 yds or less, many 4's under 350). But it's in very good shape this year (2004) and won't torture you with deep rough. Never noticed the "constant wind" mentioned in the description. Staff friendly enough, can get beers and dogs in the 19th hole but no other food. It could use some improvements, but it's $30 for 18 holes and it's not bad for that price. Not a bad place to go to with a buddy for an afternoon round, but head elsewhere for a memorable golf experience.
