This course's greens are sloping, small, and fast. The tree-lined fairways still afford generous landing areas, and many of them are doglegs. Water hazards (streams and ponds) come into play on many holes. The signature hole is #16, a 475-yard, par 5, requiring an approach shot to a four-tiered green.

Into The Wind, Jul 04, 2008
reviewer: Peter B. from concord, ca
Would not recommend this course. Every shot is into the wind. Tremendous distance between tees. Got lost between 2nd and 3rd holes. Absolutely can't walk this course. Good condition. Nice setting. Nice staff. Just too many other places to play instead of making the effort to this remote course.

Perhaps a little too challenging for a short hitter, Apr 18, 2004
reviewer: Phil B from Berkeley, ca
This golf course is set in the Novato hills in a beautiful location. The views are stunning and the course looks like fun. However the sheer length of the course on a super windy day made it less so. The first three holes were straight into the wind and none of my party could make the par 5s in three shots. Tough. There are some great holes on this course - the 16th drops forever to a large tiered green. The par 3s also show a lot of topography making them interesting. There is some cunning bunkering to catch the unwary. The elevator between holes was perhaps the coolest thing on the course! The condition of the course was a little poor and the rough is plain evil. Don't play your Titleist V1s unless you want a costly day. Overall, not bad and probably more fun if the wind ain't blowing.
