This club has three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. The East Course has tight fairways, and locals say it's a shotmaker's course. Water hazards (seven ponds) come into play on five holes. The West Course has water coming into play on eight holes. The South Course is short and tight, but it has no water hazards. This is a good course for beginners just taking up the game. Overall, the greens on all twenty-seven holes are either elevated, tiered, or surrounded by sand bunkers. The club personnel has chosen the East/West Combination as their favorite.

| I was taken out one chilly spring morning last year to this course. The wind was very prevalent on this particular day. As me and my foursome were on the practice green directly behind the clubhouse I was astonished on how incredibly quick the green was. I simply chalked it up to... that this was the practice green and there was no way that the greens on the course could be this fast and ungelated (I was severely mistaken... they were and they are) The fairways are tight and the rough isn't the worst to shoot out of but with fast fringe and tough greens one needs more control of the ball than shooting out of the rough allows. The sand bunkers were well maintained and did call for pin point accuracy. Once you leave the first tee... you rarely see any other foursomes. At least we did not on my first round, and on my second and yes on my third experience here. All in all the Links at Novi is a terrific course. The kind of course you wonder why everyone in Michigan doesn't know about and thankful that they don't. |
