This course was built on rolling terrain so there will be some uneven lies. The fairways are fairly narrow with a couple being tree lined. There are water hazards coming into play on twelve holes. Sand bunkers also come into play on nearly every hole. The fast greens are fairly large and some are undulating and sloped. One of the unique features to this course is that it was designed by the club members.

If a visitor to Whidbey Island told me he or she had one day to play golf, I would -- without hesitation -- recommend Gallery Golf Course over Whidbey Golf and Country Club. Gallery is a far superior value. There is nothing seriously wrong with Whidbey GCC -- but there is little that is special about it either. A very average golf course that tries to be an exclusive country club. Staff is a bit snooty, and there is really no reason to be. I would not recommend Whidbey -- especially if you have limited time.

Who would think that such a great course would be in Whidbey. The course has some challeging holes as well as some scenery. For some of you big hitters it has a couple of holes that tempt you to go for it. I wouldn't if I were you. Looks can be deciving. If they don't get you the slope on the 18th green will. Stick it close. A great secret.

"Great course for juniors!"
This is a fabulous course for young juniors to learn on! I took my 2 nephews there, and they had a great time! Several holes have river views. Nice little driving range too!

"Cairo is where i spend my spring break!!"
Cairo country club offers 18 holes of challenging golf. employees at the club are as generous and courteous as they come. the tree lined fairways call for consistent accuracy off the tee and some strategically placed fairway bunkers make the tee shot a placement factor. bermuda green that are well manacured. my buddy adam schuster says "its good" and my other buddy adam scott says its "da shizzle" the course really flows together throughout the 18 holes and the practice range provides a great area for preparing for the beginning of a round or fine tuning the game.

"Great Course"
This course meets all of my requirements of a great course. Its challenges you with long par 4s, and exciting par 3s. It also gives you a great view of the atlantic ocean. This course is ranked as one of my favorites to play.
