This hilly course has numerous trees that can affect your shots. Water hazards come into play on a few holes, and the greens are fast. A standard cut of rough defines the narrow fairways. The signature hole is #2, a 130-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot down a steep hill to the green. Every Monday, this club doesn't open the course until after 1 PM.

This was the course I learned on. The inaugural round was played by Sam Snead. It's a fun run for 9 holes, challenging without being oppressive about it. Power drivers will love #1, #3 and #9. Iron skills tested on #2. It's a very pretty course, hilly, lots of trees, a neat little creek, a course you want to walk. The greens are not malignant, as I recall.

Beautiful. Tons of trees, watch out with the driver. Large greens will test your putting ability. Staff is great, very customer service oriented. Great deal for the price. Bunkers need some help though.

Ballwin Golf Course
"Ballwin shouldn't be ignored!"
I play this course regularly on a ladies league. It is consistently in great shape, with very challenging greens. The greens are typically in fantastic shape--better than The Bluffs by far! The pro, Dave is knowledgable and great for lessons for both beginners and those wanting to improve. I believe the only 'problem' is for the men following the ladies on their league days--we're trying to pick up our speed. You'll enjoy the challenges of the water(there is a creek/water on 7 of the 9 holes) and sand traps.

"Nice course but difficult to get on........"
This is a great course, provided you can get on it. Always packed, best course in the area by far....I played here once and I am a resident, that shows you how hard it is to get a tee time here, used to be they only wanted non-residents because they pay more to play, (residents get a great discounted rate)...bad management idea there, of course residents complained and alot has changed....if you get the chance to play here by all means do it...you wont regret it...

Redstone Golf Course - Hillside/Meadowview Course
"The Arsenal Courses"
Hillside and Meadowview are generally better than Whispering Pines. Each nine has its own character. Hillside was renovated in 2001. For the low price the courses are pretty good. The fairways are pretty wide, some, but not a lot of trouble, although there are a few very challenging holes on each nine. The ninth on Hillside used to be a par four, so its fun for us duffers to play a par five that we can reach in two evry once in a while. The ninth on Meadowview requires a good drive over water, # 7 is a 192 par three with a green that is not very deep but very wide.The course is kept in pretty good condition yearround. Not much water or sand.
