Surfside Golf Course

This course is located near the beach. The fairways are medium width, and the greens are somewhat difficult to read. This is a great course to walk. There are additional sets of tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

The scenic backdrop of peaceful woods and wildlife, make this course, a forget your troubles, and look around you as you tee up at every hole. Bring a camera and rain gear, just in case. Just a half hour past the Astoria Bridge, take 101 north.

Fun 9 holes, Oct 05, 2005 |

If you are already in Long Beach, this course is great to get your golf fix. The best feature of this course is the greens. You can tell that they spent money on them; they can be challenging with their undulations. The course is well maintained. I saw a bunch of moving hazards (mule deer) on this course. This course can get busy on holiday weekends. They have a little "irons only" driving range as well. I agree with the other poster that the other course on the peninsula is not worth playing. The greens there are horrible.

Your basic, old-fashioned nine-hole course. Nothing to make you want to come back.

This course although kinda short, is a nice course to play and presents some small challenges. Watch out on the first and second tees, the houses are neaby right. Greens stick decently well and was a fun course to play. If in longbeach, wa, the drive to surfside is well worth it!! Don't play the nearby course just north of Longview, it's not worth the money in my book!
