This executive course isn't long, but it does require shot accuracy. The terrain is undulating, and water hazards come into play on four holes. Most holes feature a scattering of trees that can alter your shots, and there are several sand bunkers on the course. The large greens vary in undulation, but putt true.

Interesting and challenging, Nov 03, 2006

Well kept with some challenging holes. Best 9 hole course I every played. I've been playing this course since 1992 (league and casual play). I would recommend this course to anyone.

A good little course, Sep 22, 2004

I play Indian Hills about 20-25 times every year. Indian Hills is a good little course tucked into the hustle and bustle of the Lansing metro area. Although it is a short par 33, it is far from easy, with ample bunkers, water hazards and trees. The fairways and greens are ususally in tip-top shape. The only knocks I have on the place is the mosquitos are thick, especially from late May-July. Also, during heavy rain periods, such as May 2004, the Red Cedar River overflows its banks and makes the course unplayable. Call ahead during after heavy rains to check playability. Wear long pants and/or a long sleeved t-shirt whenever possible to combat mosquitos.

This course is fun if you like to play your fairway woods and irons and dont mind keeping the driver in the bag for most of the round. However, my favorite part of the establishment is not the golf course itself, it is the expansive pro shop which features custom club fitting. It is the only place I trust with my clubs whether I'm getting new grips, shafts, or anything else.
