This course plays longer than the yardage indicates. The greens are small and difficult to read. The signature hole is #15, a 354-yard, par 4, requiring an accurate tee shot because of the out-of-bounds stakes on the left side of the fairway and a water hazard on the right side of the fairway.

This course is one of the hidden secrets of Oklahoma City. It is in what now is the heart of South Oklahoma City. Narrow fairway make this course extremely challenging for the average golfer. The course is well kept with a minimum of rounds played each week. The course being private is one reason for the minimum play. If you can get on the course I would highly recommend playing a round there.

Gibson Woods is a challenging public golf course in Monmouth, IL. It is a mature course that challenges the golfer to play the fairway on most holes. The course features lots of trees, some water, and some elevated greens. The course favors the accurate golfer more than the long ball hitter. Although an accurate long ball hitter will consistently score well here. The course is very well maintained, has a driving range, and is generally only crowded on weekends.
