This executive eighteen hole course is great for the entire family. The terrain is flat and easy to walk. The fairways are wide open, and the greens are small and medium speed. There are lights on the course and a driving range for evening play. A family fun center was built around the course, offering batting cages, bumper cars and more.

Both the regular course (Farm Lakes) & the executive course (Riverside) are flat, easy to play courses. Great for beginners. No many out-of-bounds. A few water hazards. My biggest complaint is the condition of their sand traps. They are horrible -- weedy and hard.

I've played this course for a number of years and it just keeps getting better. Last played a week ago and the course is in really good shape. Fairways and greens are well maintained and look better than some higher priced courses I've played recently. Play Golf America! Play here!

Pines Municipal Golf Course, The
"Tough for it's size"
I'm origianally from Toccoa and have played this golf course many many times. While only a 9 hole course, it is worth the money to play it. It is far less expensive than most golf corses and offers real challenges for even experienced golfers. The terrain is extremely hilly and almost every hole has an extreme change in elavation. The green's are extremely small and very very fast. During the summer the fairways and greens are fairly well manicured although winter play tends to be a little harder on some holes due to a harder fairways from less moisture. Fairways are extemely tight with hundreds of opportunities to lose balls in pine forests and a courseside lake on the last two holes. Overall, not an allstar course but for a quick, challenging, and inexpensive round well worth the time.

Wilshire Golf Club
"Good Challenge; Poor Conditions."
Wilshire is a challenge in disguise. With many decisions shots like weather to carry the creek on the first hole or whether or not to cut the corner off of the 17th. But the adverse course condidions can discourage most golfers that are looking for a challenge. Shabby fairways and greens give it a rough appearance but it is a good deal for the price.

This cousce is very beautiful. The course was carved out of a wooded area so there are plenty of trees. Plenty of wildlife. The course is easy to moderate in difficulty. I give this course a 3 star.
