Benson Park Golf Course

This course was built on rolling hills and has tree-lined fairways. There are water hazards that come into play on six holes. Locals consider hole #10, a 425-yard, par 4, as the most scenic hole in Omaha. This facility does not have a driving range, but there is one down the street.

Challening Course at a Great Price, Jul 25, 2008
reviewer: Max from Omaha
This is an excellent value for $18 during the week and $24 on weekends. Fun layout with wide fairway and large greens. Maintenance is spotty at times. Plays at nearly 6,800 yards from the tips. Not a course for the beginner, but a fair challenge for good golfers.

Benson Golf Course, Feb 20, 2008
reviewer: CP from Omaha
Benson is unique in style with its rolling hills and its unique scenery however its course condition is not excellent. Work on the bunkers and fairway landing spots needs to be worked on but overall i would recommend Benson to any beginner golfer or senior golfer.

Can't beat this course, Jul 18, 2007
reviewer: N/A from Austin, TX
Benson is over 40 years old but does not show its age. Many trees, lots of slope but has both forgiving and challenging holes. Long and short hitters will find many nuanaces to suit their games. I love coming to this course every time I'm in Omaha.

nice public track, Sep 19, 2006
reviewer: Andy from Omaha, NE
very well developed public course. scenic views from the clubhouse which sits up on a bluff with #1 & #10 teeing off to the flats below & #9 & #18 finishing back up the hill. There are many huge trees & about 150 new ones were planted a few years ago. contrary to a comment below, it VERY reasonably priced. Perhaps you could play 18 at a par 3 course cheaper. Good value, a variety of holes, some reachable par 5's, a couple small lakes & creek running through. For $24, you can do a lot worse.

The beauty of Benson, Nov 07, 2005
reviewer: Delo S. Lee from Omaha, NE USA
This course will challenge all levels of golfers. It has long par 3's and long par 4's. For the money, you really can't beat it. My personal favorite hole is the #11 par 5. It starts with a blind tee shot over a hill. Then it doglegs right. It is very hard to cut the corner with all of the tree cover by the creek. (Yes, a creek comes into play for the long hitters.) The second shot has to be accurrate as well. The green is guarded by bunkers. Once on the green, you must contend with a slight slope. It is a very large green, so a close second shot (if it is long enough)will set up for an eagle. I must say, this course is fun and well kept, even through the fall until we submit to the weather.

Not great, May 17, 2005
reviewer: James from Fremont, NE
Not as good as expected...number 10 isnt even a scenic hole whatsoever. In fact, its got ghetto houses all along the left side. What a joke. Very expensive...not worth it.

Wrong hole, May 17, 2005
reviewer: Uder from Omaha
I think they have the wrong hole as the "scenic" one. Its kind of one of the worst holes there because of the houses to the north.
