Fun little intercity course, May 21, 2004

This mature and well-kept course boasts very narrow fairways that lead to fast, hard-to-read greens. The large and strategically placed trees and bunkers make course management a must. It may not be for traditionalists, as a street runs through the middle of the course, but hitting over a road adds one more dimention of uniqueness to the course. Rarely an even lie, rarely a simple hole. What Field Club lacks in length it makes up for in character.

For the money one of the best 9 hole courses in western kansas, green speeds and roll out are up there with the big boys if not better. Fairways and teeing surfaces are always in better than average condition even in the hot months. Keep it in the fairway!

"New Name for La Vista Golf Course"
The new name for La Vista Golf Course in Wichita Falls, Texas is HAWK RIDGE GOLF COURSE. This course has undergone extensive improvements the last year and one half. The improvements made have made this into one of the best courses in this area. While I rated it as 3 stars, it could very well be on its way to being rated much higher.
