This is a tough course because of its small, fast greens. The wide-open fairways were built on flat terrain, which is easy to walk. There are no sand bunkers on the course, but a pond comes into play on one hole.

Fun in the sun, and the price is right, Feb 23, 2008

I play this course on occasion when passing though the area, and it has a lot of fun built in and some tricks as well. The par 3s range from easy to difficult and the par 5 is a suitable distance. The clubhouse folks are friendly and a beer is a buck and the hats and t-shirts for sale are pretty cool. Cart and green fees are $20, and will worth it.

Piney Valley Golf Course
"Not too bad"
This golf course offers an exersise of the mental game and practice on accuracy. This course is one of the nicest in the area. The front nine offers chances to let loose and holes to decide what club to hit. The back nine is more flat yet a bit more difficult due to the mind set of trying to reach in two. This course is not a five because easyness and choices of veggitation and is not a four because of it being on a military base ( security check gates) however for someone who doesn't want to travel an hour or two away its nothing to complain about.

Riverside Country Club
"Nice Course tough lies"
When you play this course be prepared to have a hilly lie on most fairway shots, especially on the back nine. The undulation is remarkable and this course gives an average player a run for his/her money. Mid summer the greens can be unforgiving, but still playable with corect club selection. Altogether a course well manicured and the added bonus of having a complete opposite feeling when playing the front nine and the second nine.

White Hawk Country Club
"Better than others around"
I have golfed at White Hawk for the past three summers and have found it to be a challenging three courses. With black being the hardest it is to the difficult level of a 5-10 handicap player. On average I should in the high 70's and find some days more challenging then others depending on pin placement. But if you are a golf with great accuracy then this course will be almost no match for you. For if you are able to stay in the farways even par is something insight. The course itself is taken care of very nicely and almost all of the employees are friendly. Overall it is my favorite course in the area.

"Hard course"
Hard course...tight...many scoring opportunities....kept up nice for the small staff and equipment...wonderful atmosphere....contains the hardest hole in the history of golf(#13)
