This eighteen hole course is situated in a valley that is shadowed by two breathtaking mountains, Red Mountain and Sand Mountain. The greens are medium to small, with not a great deal of undulation. The fairways are tree lined, but forgiving. The views from #1 and #10 are spectacular. The signature hole is #10, a 416-yard, par 4, which demands a tee shot that is slightly downhill through a corridor of trees. The green is slightly elevated.

Mountain golfing, Jun 01, 2004

Our foursome has a 4 day tournament in that area in which we play 4 different courses in 4 days. RTJ course at Silver Lakes, Oxmoor Valley, Cumberland Lakes and Limestone Springs(LS). Of these, LS clearly our favor. Like any course, after several rounds you begin to know the appropriate shots too make and at LS what you see is what you get. Pay attention to layout and you'll score, try to overwhelm the course and your in for some trouble. Much like RTJ, easy bogey and hard par. We've found LS to be in wonderful condition even after some "worm choking" rains, the course drains so well that it's playable w/in a couple of hours. We play in the afternoons Friday-Sunday and finish w/in 4hrs. We all highly recommend the course if your in the area. Our skills are w/in the 8 to 15 handicap range. So, get the long stick and flat stick and head out to the course, it will not disappoint you. Can't speak for your game however.

A great place to play., Apr 26, 2004

I visited Limestone Golf and Country Club 04/23/04 and 04/24/04. Beautifully landscaped between the rolling hills with mountain backdrop. The very professional curtious staff really adds to the entire visit. Over all if your a big hitter or just working on your game. Visit Limestone Springs it's not you average north Alabama golf course. It is a great place to play!
