This traditional course is easy to score well on. Even though the course is tight and not too lengthy, it plays fair and rewards good shots. The fairways are narrow, and the small greens are average speed. In addition, water hazards come into play on at least nine holes. Seniors will be pleased to know that there are additional sets of men's tees (on certain holes) that can be used to shorten the length of some holes.

Good value for your money, May 25, 2007

The Oneonta Country Club is not Augusta National, however it is a decent course which is not all that difficult to score on. Irrigation from tee through green keep the course in good shape even in dry conditions. Currently (May 2007) the course is in excellent shape, in particular the fairways. I have played on numerous high priced courses which were not in nearly as good a shape. Clubhouse and lockeroom not in mint condition, but good food and great view from the bar.

Pines Par 3 Golf Course
"Pines Par 3"
This course is just a ball to play. Yes they are only par 3's with the longest being 90yards but this is still a great course to work on your short game. It has done wonders for mine. This course is also a great place to get the kids started on golf. Friendly atmosphere. On Monday Nights they have a Golf Tournament entry fee is about $15, including the hole-in-one pool.

Walden Ponds Golf Club

I played in two outings at Walden Ponds golf club in 2003 and I found that the attention to detail was outstanding in both instances. The staff was extremely helpful and the golf course was one of the finest conditioned courses that I played in 2003 including private clubs. I highly recommend that you experience this golf course.
