This traditional course is easy to score well on. Even though the course is tight and not too lengthy, it plays fair and rewards good shots. The fairways are narrow, and the small greens are average speed. In addition, water hazards come into play on at least nine holes. Seniors will be pleased to know that there are additional sets of men's tees (on certain holes) that can be used to shorten the length of some holes.

Good value for your money, May 25, 2007 |

| The Oneonta Country Club is not Augusta National, however it is a decent course which is not all that difficult to score on. Irrigation from tee through green keep the course in good shape even in dry conditions. Currently (May 2007) the course is in excellent shape, in particular the fairways. I have played on numerous high priced courses which were not in nearly as good a shape. Clubhouse and lockeroom not in mint condition, but good food and great view from the bar. |
