This course was cut out of a pine forest. The terrain is fairly flat, and every hole is well bunkered. There are water hazards that come into play on four holes. The greens are undulating, and the fairways are tree lined. This public course was described by the head professional as "a good test for any level of golfer." The course accepts many golf cards for discounted rates, and they offer discount coupons. This course opens at 7 AM on the weekends.

How is this course ranked so high?, Mar 11, 2006
reviewer: Mr. Dills from Atlanta, GA
I don't want to totally bash this course, the employees are very nice. This is, however, the least favorite course I have ever played. It is very open, providing little if any privacy. There are few trees compared to other courses. The greens and the fairways were being worked on which left TONS of clumps of dirt in the fairways. Honestly, I am surprised that they let people play when the course was in this bad of shape.

Well worth it, Jun 24, 2005

This course is well worth playing. For a public, park system course, it is about as good as you find. The fairways are generaly in good condition and the greens will surprise you. Not overly long and if you think before you hit the shot, you should be able to avoid trouble. For the price, I doubt you can beat it.

Nice course, May 03, 2005
reviewer: Daniel from Aiken, SC
I play at this golf course at least twice a year in tournaments. It is a real nice course with good greens. It was not long enough for me though. I would recommend this course to my friends and if you get a chance you should go play there.
