This course has many views of the surrounding picturesque hills. Water hazards come into play on fourteen holes. The greens are large and flat, and the fairways are narrow. Night golfing is available. Interesting layout, the greens were excellent. Some dramatic elevation changes. My wife and I both enjoyed the course and will try to come back again.

What a fun course. The course is maintained beautifully and has some of the best greens I've ever putted on. Aside from the conditions, the people there are soooooo friendly.

I've played many courses this year and have found the greens at Barker Brook to be the best in Central New York. They held beautifully, yet were still very fast and true. The greens were not the only highlight. This year was very dry. While most public courses were burnt, Barker Brook's fairways were green and a pleasure to play off. This course is truly a hidden gem, especially for the price.

Pines Municipal Golf Course, The
"Tough for it's size"
I'm origianally from Toccoa and have played this golf course many many times. While only a 9 hole course, it is worth the money to play it. It is far less expensive than most golf corses and offers real challenges for even experienced golfers. The terrain is extremely hilly and almost every hole has an extreme change in elavation. The green's are extremely small and very very fast. During the summer the fairways and greens are fairly well manicured although winter play tends to be a little harder on some holes due to a harder fairways from less moisture. Fairways are extemely tight with hundreds of opportunities to lose balls in pine forests and a courseside lake on the last two holes. Overall, not an allstar course but for a quick, challenging, and inexpensive round well worth the time.
