This facility has two eighteen hole regulation courses. The organization's long-term plans are to eventually have a total of seventy-two holes available for play. The Panther Course is very scenic and challenging. The fairways have dogleg configurations and trees are abundant. The greens vary from large to small in size and some are heavily undulating. Water hazards and bunkers also come into play consistently throughout the design. This is the first course in the large Orange County National facility. The Crooked Cat, which opened in the latter part of 1998, presents a challenge with an abundance of elevated and terraced fairways. The training facilities on site include a thirty-six hole putting facility, sand and chipping area, and a massive, circular-shaped driving range with more than 600 hitting stations. This range covers forty-two acres and is one mile in circumference. It is considered to be one of the largest in the United States. You can get all the training you need at the Phil Ritson Golf Institute that is on site. Call (407) 656-2626 for information on the schooling and training currently available. Tee times can be reserved by calling (888) PAR-3672. Although there is no nine hole green fee, twilight rates are available daily, usually beginning after 2 PM during the peak season.

BRING ALL THE CLUBS IN YOUR BAG. EVERY HOLE HAS CHARACTER. GREENS WERE SUPERB, EVEN IN THE MIDDLE OF JAN.GREAT ELAVATION CHANGES,FOR FLORIDA. A LITTLE PRICEY, BUT WORTH IT. A MUST PLAY

Bent Creek Country Club
"Exquisite Conditioning"
I was a member at Bent Creek for ten years until moving to South Carolina. Day in and day out, compared with top caliber courses, this is probably the best conditioned course in the Mid-Atlantic area. Tees, fairways, and greens are bent grass, as are the practice tees and even one of the two practice ranges. The course is more difficult than its slope and course rating indicate, with very difficult holes at the start, especially from the back tees. It is a great course for average players from the regular men's tees, and a fantastic test for better players from the back. An under-par score from the back tees is exceptional.

Houston Oaks Golf Club - Oaks Course

A very different challenging layout. A need for power, finesse and a little luck will be needed on this course. Fairways in good shape. Greens are in good shape but could be faster. A decent value for your money.
