I have played this course several times but always in early October as a guest in an invitational tournament consisting of 5 9-hole matches over two days. This course is one of the best maintained courses that I have ever played. It is challenging from the back tees, where the tournament is played, but would be on the difficult side from the middle tees. There are two holes on the front nine that are back to back and are one of the most difficult back to back par 4 holes you will ever play. They are the no. 1 and 3 handicap holes on the course. Yes, shot and club selection are critical on this tract. The greens are some of the most difficult to putt which makes scoring very difficult. It is a course that will test yourself while you enjoy yourself!

"Great Private Course - Gem in CNY"
If you have a reciprocal with this course, you should take advantage. It's well maintained, with narrow fairways, and challenging greens. You need to have your iron game, because your second shot into most greens is critical. A bail out will cost you a stroke, as almost all holes have sand bunkers guarding the greens. Good fun for the ave golfer and player alike. A real Must Play.

Evergreen Country Club - Private Course
"A course unto yourself."
I have become a big fan of Evergreen's private course. From beginning to end, you feel like your the only person on the course. This course offers secluded fairways and some very challenging holes. While the 14th is the signature hole, the 7th offers a close second. With the big tree in the middle of the fairway before the bend. Making it a difficult hole to play. The course could stand a little over all care, it's still a blast to play.

"Adirondack gem."
My favorite layout in the Adirondacks, a course you can play 100's of times and never tire of. After a difficult first hole you are presented with good scoring opportunities on the front. Holes 10 thru 13 are as tough as they come and as scenic, they stick in the minds of golfers at every level. Take time to chat (or have a lesson) with John Hall, PGA pro and managing partner, I guarantee he'll be friends with at least one pro from your area.
