Inexpensive Muni Course, Sep 25, 2009
reviewer: Bogie Wogie from SF
It's about value, and this course is a good value. Nice views, decent length, Bay Area, local wildlife (foxes, banana slugs), offshore breezes. I'm not expecting Pebble, but for the price I'm having a great day. Are there better values out there, sure, better maintained courses, truer greens, marshalls keeping the play going; but for the price you'll have to look hard.

you call that a green?, Sep 24, 2005

Average course for a good price. However the maintenance is not at an acceptable level as the greens and fairways can be pretty rough.

not bad, Jul 02, 2005

I read a few reviews and disagree with them all. The course was not in that bad of shape and was very challenging, greens are a bit bumpy and fairways have there bad spots, but for 24 bucks i will go back.

worst course in bay area, May 22, 2005
reviewer: dltk220@sbcglobal.net from San Jose Ca.
Played this course today. This is the most pathetic golf course in the bay area. STAY AWAY. The tee boxes were unlevel and not mowed. The fairways were also not mowed, so it was like hitting out of a 1st or 2nd cut. Just terrible. The greens were uneven as well. Putt the ball and watch it jump up 1 to 2 inches in the air. There were also bald spots in the greens. O and I forgot to mention all the daisies on every fairway, real easy to find the ball. 18 holes took 5 hours and 20 minutes. This is a San Francisco run course so city workers maintain it. That would probably explain the poor condition. Save your money and go elsewhere. I would rate this course a 0 but it would not let me go lower then 1.

Dry fairways, Jul 11, 2004
reviewer: james from san mateo, ca
The course has unplayable dry/hardpan fairways on all of its holes, except the par 3's. For $35, non-res weekend, you would think you can play on a course which has grass on its fairway.

Bang for the Buck, Mar 04, 2004

Although the fairways are a little spotty, this course offers a variety of opportunities to practice your long drives as well as your short game. I wouldn't reccomend it for a tournament, but it's a great practice course for your more serious games.
