This course features narrow fairways. The Irwin Cobb Tournament is held here each June. The ladies' par is actually 76. The signature hole is #18, a 535-yard, par 5, requiring a tee shot between two massive oak trees in the center of the dogleg right fairway, while still avoiding the out-of-bounds stakes lining the left, then a second shot that must avoid the out-of-bounds stakes on the right and oak trees on the left, and finally an approach shot to a well-bunkered, elevated green.

A Classic Course, Mar 28, 2007 |

| Truly a classic course, with a lot of history to it. The course is extremely challenging if your tee shot isn't in the fairway - lots of trees make it tough to get back to the green. It doesn't have a lot of the bells and whistles that newer golf courses have, but it's inexpensive and definately worth playing. Number 18 is a bear, even though it's easier now that the big tree in the middle of the fairway is gone. |
