The signature hole is #17, a 200-yard, par 3, requiring a long, accurate tee shot over water down to the green. this is the first place i ever played and as much as i enjoy the game and travelling to different courses. its always my favorite. I hit a 145 yard hole in one with a nine iron on hole 5. i will never forget it. the course is always kept up. I love it.

"South Georgia's best secret"
What a wonderful couse that plays well all year round. This couse will test all skill levels but is fair. With wide fairways but tough rough and a lot of trees if you miss the fairway. Fairly long most par 4 play between 380 to 410 yards. Water comes into play on 5 holes. Couse is in great shape and a 3 1/2 hour round is the norm!

"Greens Can Be Fast Without Being Like Concrete"
Take this course to Scotland where it belongs. Whomever is the greenskeeper here needs a bit of elementary training in the concept of WATER. Greens can be fast without being unreceptive to a golfball. It is rediculous when a topped 4-iron produces a better result than a high, spinning wedge. It is a well-designed course, but you just can't hide the pins behind bunkers when the golfer has no chance of holding the green. It is just plain goofy golf. To watch fairly accomplished players putt from 20 yards off the green is just too bad.

"Caddy's Eye View"
I was a caddy at KCC for 7 years ('74-'81) and because of my skills and long-term tenure I was allowed to play in the evenings as well as on Mondays. This was a fabulous course that was in immaculate condition. It was extremely well-funded and fully expect that they would maintain the quality. Front nine has 3 3-pars and 3 5-pars and boat loads of character. The back nine is the tougher track with 3 or 4 holes that are simply stunning. The 12th is a work of art and 14 and 16 will crush you if you miss any shots.
