This course has generous fairways, but beware of the marshlands that will come into play if your shots are too wild. There are only a few scattered palm trees throughout this flat course, but there are either water hazards or sand bunkers coming into play on every hole. The greens are medium in size and speed, and have many subtle breaks in them. The signature hole is #5, a 350-yard, par 4, requiring a blind approach shot over a twenty-five foot high mound with a directional rock on top, to a medium to small-sized green. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 9th "Best in State" course for 1995-96 and 1996-97. The publication also selected it 92nd on its list of "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" for 1997.

"Great Course for Novices,a challenge for all levels."
I played the Gulfport Par 3 twice in march of 2001. I found some holes challenging with the trees and water hazzards. It is not your typical pitch and putt Par 3. There is a 160 plus Par 3 and a few similiar holes. If you are a trveler in the Gulf Coast region and can not wait a long time to get on a regulation course because of lack of time or just want relaxing golf this is the place. The staff at the course are excellent on advice on how to play it,and are great on southern hospatality.I will definetly play this course on any future visits to the Gulf Coasts.

"Best in the area"
Very scenic, affordable, and quite challenging due to lots of pine trees and water. It is well taken care of and it's a layed back atmoshere. Although tougher than most, it is by far the best public course in the College Station area and is definitely worth the drive.
