This eighteen hole course is very user friendly. The greens are average-sized and do not have much break. They are well-bunkered and have some undulation. The fairways are spacious, with strategically placed bunkers throughout. The course was built through a forest and many mature trees remain, but new planting has added to its scenic beauty. Most of the fairways are lined with pine trees. The signature hole is #8, a 156-yard, par 3, which features an island green. Simple strategy dictates landing on the green or taking off your pants. The wind will also have a great affect on shot selection, depending on which direction it is blowing from. A second course called Ocean Hammock is expected to open in 2000.
