Located 90 minutes from Disneyland and SeaWorld, the Faldo Course at Marriott’s Shadow Ridge opened for play December 2000.Designed by Nick Faldo, this par 72 course tops out at just under 7,000 yards from the back tees, and is home to the third Nick Faldo Golf Institute. This course is unusual in the fact that none of the local desert terrain was incorporated. Instead, the entire course is planted with native grasses and close to 3,000 trees.The surrounding community of Palm Desert hosts such events as The Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, The Skins Game, and The Nabisco Championship.
