This very scenic course is located out in the countryside. The fairways are tree lined, and the greens are medium-sized. Water hazards come into play several times. The course was closed for construction during the latter part of 1996 and reopened in the spring of 1997.

Short, but challenging, Jun 22, 2004

I found this course to be a challenging, yet fun short course. I was very impressed by how well manicured the course was considering its location is out in the country near a very small town. This is a great course for anyone just learning to golf and it also represents some challenges for the more experienced golfer. It would be a shame to visit the area and not stop by to check it out. I am sure I will back!

Delray Dunes Golf & Country Club
"A South Florida gem"
This a great private golf course, with new TifSport fairways, TifEagle greens and new bunkering, all put in during the summer of 2002. Pete Dye's course is better than ever. The new gold (back) tees now play 6,616 yards with a 72.0/131 course and slope rating. This par 71 course is made up of narrow fairways, many tree-lined. Four par 4s exceed 400 yards with number 6 playing 442 yards and number 13 reaching 437 yards; tough holes by every standard. If you can find a member or locate a friend of a member, by all means make it a point to play this great South Florida golf course.

Ferncroft Country Club - Championship Course

I've placed hundreds of courses in this country and Ferncroft for a resort club is one of the better places to play! For a private resort the cost of greens fees are perhaps a bit expensive, but you have to willling to pay to play one of the better well run courses in the area! The Bent grass on the fairways and greens are always well maintained. The layout is challenging for a course of just over 6,600 yards from the tips. They've just rebuilt the 3rd Green and 4th Tee. From time to time depending on the season they may have some standing water issues. From what I've been told by the Director of Golf they are taking care of this in the near future with a new irrigation system.
