This course has enough character to challenge any skill level. The wide open fairways are tree lined, and the greens are large and fast. The terrain varies in undulation, and there are a few lakes that come into play on many holes. Gary Kern designed ten new holes and redesigned the other eight in 1976.

Very challenging course. One of the most beautiful courses around anywhere,some of the scenery is breath taking. The owners,staff, and golfers alike are the friendliest I have ever met,making you feel like this is your course,and you are family. The restaurant serves mouth watering food at very good prices, and has an elevated outside deck that you can look out over the beautiful hills at the golfers playing their game.In the eve, you can enjoy a steak,and beer, while watching the moon rise over the hills, and see deer walking across the first and eighteenth fairways to the creek.

Edgewood Country Club
"Traditional Donald Ross layout"
Edgewood is a graceful example of a Donald Ross design, with elevated, contoured and fast greens. The traditional, tree lined layout is picturesqe and plays longer than its listed length. Par 4s #2 and #18 are each 420 yard gems. Three of the Par 5s are reachable with two long shots. 5-8 on the front is where the golf course really tests you. The course is always in good condition, and despite its hills, is a good walking course with a solid caddy program.

Oakmont Country Club
"Tough but Fair"
Oakmont is a picturesque layout in the foothills of Glendale with lovely mountain views. The course is an old-style country club layout which rewards well planned out shotmaking. The greens are usually very fast and reward players for being below the hole. The Pac-10 Conference Championship was held at Oakmont in 2003 and only two players broke par (288) in a field of 50. The players found the par 3's particularly challenging. The greens are very well protected with sand bunkers and the fairways are heavily tree-lined. Best time to play Oakmont is in the spring and fall. I find the twelfth hole to be the most challenging. It is a 420 yard par four, uphill and terraced. The green is long and narrow, two-tiered and protected by a large bunker on the right and a drop-off hill and trees on the left.

"Enjoyable"
A very attractive golf course with spectacular views on the back nine. Well kept and challenging.

Wyckoff Country Club
"Quick eighteen"
This course is short, but what it may lack in length it makes up with difficulty along the course. Fast greens and sloping fairways provide players with challenges every time out. Throw in some wind and you are playing some real good golf if you can break eighty from the back tees on this Par 69 course. Fun course with good people in the Pro Shop make this course a great place to play.
