This course sits on the former site of Bunker Hunt's famous horse stables. The main cart path goes through the original horse farm that is still standing. This course opened in July of 1996, and since then has received a reputation for being one of the state's most beautiful and reasonable courses, as mentioned by many of its passing players. There are several small lakes and natural creeks that highlight this course. Hole #14, a 439-yard, par 4, has a small stream to the left side of the fairway, which then turns in front of the green. Accuracy is a must on this hole, especially when teeing off into the wind.

| The last time I played it in August, 05, the course was in excellent shape. I played Griffin Gate the previous day and Houston Oaks was in much better shape. No negatives about this course. Priced fairly too. |

| A must! Everything is kept in marvelous condition. Hit the fairways with your drives and you will be rewarded. An hour from my house and I have played it several times. That should tell you something. |

| Houston Oaks offers a good challenge and the best conditioning of any course in central Kentucky including the private courses. Many of the best known private courses have poa anna in their greens but the staff at Houston Oaks has figured out how to eliminate the problem. With 4 sets of tees the course can play at a lenght to suit anyone. When the rough gets thick the course can play as tough as you want. |

| Houston Oaks inspires me to dream of becoming a pro.The fairways are awesome you could put from 50 yds. out if you wanted.Always challenging yet rewarding all for under $30w/cart. |
