This tree-lined course provides gorgeous scenery. The terrain is rolling, the greens are medium-sized, and the fairways are wide. There are no bunkers of any kind on this course. However, water hazards do come into play on many holes.

For the average golfer Pine Ridge offers a comfortable, yet challenging, 18 holes. Beautiful NE Texas scenery coupled with A+ greens (for this area of the state) and the ease of concrete golf paths for the full 18 holes, makes play a pleasure. (The Paris Golf and Country Club cannot even provide you with 18 holes of super highway paths!) When you consider the cost and the fact that the course was virtually cut out of the countryside without a huge outlay for fancy, tempermental greens, Pine Ridge is really a pleasure. Not to say that the greens are no good - they are usually fast and well-kept - Bermuda - and easy to read. The course is well manicured - though you will find areas where grass just will not grow. But overall, the course is a pleasure. The staff is friendly and you will enjoy your play there. Give it a try.

This is a great layout with some long par 3's. The fairways are wide but trees line many holes and you must be in position in the fairway to get a shot at the small greens. Speed of the greens is medium-fast. Greens and Tee boxes were in good shape but the bermuda fairways are dormant and not overseeded for the winter. Play is slower on Sunday's but everyone was friendly and helpful.

I have been playing this course for 20 years and the course is so improved and impeccable the last time I played which was last August, full irragation and watering systems that have been in full use for about 5 years now have greatly improved the play also paved cart paths and new and completely changed layouts are a real challenge. I and my friends always enjoy a day at the Raceway, it ends with a great meal in the Raceway Restaurant with abundant plates for your dollar and great food choices. Priced right, can't beat it.

The best course i have ever played. The coure is in excellent condition and the service was perfect. By far the best course in the area and a must play. Hats off the the grounds crew for the wonderful playing conditions that this course is in.
